We’ve got big news: Holy Snails is now certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny!
Yay, it's official! It’s something we’ve been pondering for a while. We’ve never tested on animals, and we’ve always been careful in selecting ingredient suppliers who do not test on animals. We know many of our customers prefer to use cruelty-free products, and we do, too.
What does it mean?
The Leaping Bunny certification verifies that we do not conduct, commission, or act as a party to animal testing of any of our products. It also verifies that we only do business with suppliers that do not conduct, commission or act as a party to animal testing on the ingredients they sell. In short, it's confirmation that there is no new animal testing at any stage of our product development.
As a bonus, unlike some other popular certifications in the clean beauty sector, the Leaping Bunny certification doesn’t cost anything. It’s not a pay-to-play certification. This is important to us: we want you to know that we’re not just buying our way into a trending category. Being cruelty-free has been a priority for us since the beginning of the company. We just wanted to make it official.
Ethical consumption is an important topic in the beauty world today. We’re so happy to be able to offer our customers confidence not just in the safety and effectiveness of our products, but in the ethics of our product development, too.
Stay tuned as we roll out more improvements! We’ve got big plans for 2020—you’ll see us working to minimize our environmental impact as we continue to make and develop the products you love.
For now, feel free to shop our totally shark-free Shark Sauce and other certified cruelty-free skincare. Thanks as always for your support!
This post was mainly because quokkas are adorable, since we've always been cruelty-free. The quokka you see here came from @cruzysuzy's Instagram. Look how cute it is!
