March #SDM: Sunny Shark

It’s still snowing in some parts of the country, but spring is on its way! Here at Holy Snails, we’re definitely ready to warm up. But as much as we want to bask in the springtime sun, we don’t want our skin to suffer from the free radical damage that sunshine of any season can cause.

That’s why our March Sauce Du Mois is Sunny Shark. A fresh variation on our original Shark Sauce, Sunny Shark features bushels of fruit extracts containing the highest amounts of naturally occurring vitamin C to supplement your sunscreen (which we know you remember you put on every day, rain or shine). Among the special ingredients in Sunny Shark, you’ll find:

  • Jackfruit extract: High in naturally occurring vitamin A, vitamin C, lignans, isoflavones, and saponins for potent antioxidant protection and gentle brightening and firming
  • Jujube extract: Packed with vitamins A, B1, B2, and C to prevent free radical damage and maintain elasticity and firmness.
  • Indian gooseberry extract: Provides high vitamin C and beta carotene content to defend and strengthen skin.
  • Arnica montana extract: Soothing and anti-inflammatory; calms irritated skin to reduce redness and rough texture.

Of course, Sunny Shark also contains our ultra-brightening combo of 5% niacinamide and 3% n-acetylglucosamine. Working synergistically at the research-backed optimal concentration levels, these ingredients fight hyperpigmentation, even out skin tone, and improve skin barrier function for a brighter glow over time. Licorice root extract further brightens skin, while sea kelp bioferment hydrates without heaviness.

As always, please note that Sunny Shark (like any other non-SPF skincare product) is not a substitute for sunscreen. For the best brightening and anti-aging results, remember to finish your morning skincare routine with your favorite sunscreen. Apply it generously. Then go and enjoy some springtime sun!
