Last night's #motd was my second #Whamisa - the Organic Fruits & Tomato Fermented #Hydrogel with Lactobacillus. It smells overwhelmingly of lavender, which I normally love, but was a bit too much. Again, like trying to balance Jello on your face. Instead of slapping the little mouth piece on my forehead, I actually put it on my lips instead like a lip mask, and they were baby soft this morning. This mask was a bit drier feeling than the Seeds & Rice one, but my face was soft and glowy this morning, and I'm sure it'll stay that way until tonight at least. Still not my favorite Whamisa. 3/5 #maskie #rasianbeauty #kbeauty #koreanbeauty #1일1팩 #bbloggers
My second Whamisa mask was not as lovely as my first, unfortunately... The fit was the same: very wet and slippery, too short on the forehead, too long on the mouth area. I used the mouth cut-out as a lip mask, and it seemed to work pretty well, despite being kind of inconvenient (canNOT talk with it on, obviously). The Fruits & Tomato hydrogel smells intensely like lavender. Like, I love lavender, but this for me was just a little too much lavender. It also makes me feel kind of concerned about how much essential oil they put into this thing that my face is soaking up. But I didn't get any irritation, and my skin was plump and smooth and soft for over 24 hours later, just like my last Whamisa mask. This did feel drier than the Seeds & Rice hydrogel however.
Our founders @sarah_glow and @christine_glow visited Whamisa's plant and witnessed how theirorganic sheet masks are produced and carefully packaged! 1. Cutout of mask 2. Excess hydrogel removed 2. Botanical extract packed serum drenched onto mask 3. White backing added to protect the delicate jelly masks 4. Folded in half to fit in pouch 5. Put onto the pouch Join our #glowinseoul journey for more amazing discoveries 😊 #glowrecipe #koreanbeauty #whamisa
Whamisa hydrogels being packaged! I wonder if they're one of those factories you can tour and they give you buckets of samples afterward... Or heck, I'd settle with letting me keep the little unwanted pieces...

CosDNA did not flag any of the ingredients, but this does contain essential oils. The lavender, I must reiterate, was very intense. I enjoyed this mask, but I much prefer the Seeds & Rice to this one. Now I just need to hunt down the Flowers and the Sea Kelp ones, and my Whamisa sheet mask journey will be complete!
화미사 유기농 과일 발효 하이드로겔 마스크
3/5 - the fit drops it a point, and the strong smell and dryness drops it another point. I might consider repurchasing this one, but I didn't love it as much as the Seeds & Rice.
